It consists of the study of the tissue of fragments or entire organs to observe alterations in the architecture of the tissue under the microscope as well as characteristics of benignity or malignancy. Samples can be obtained via FNA (fine needle puncture and aspiration), PAAG (coarse needle puncture and aspiration), FAP (fine needle puncture) or ultrasound-guided, surgical or endoscopic biopsy.
