AniCura Marina Baixa Veterinary Hospital has two ultrasound scanners:
- A portable ultrasound scanner with colour doppler, which is used for ultrasound scans in the operating theatre, in case of emergencies, etc.
- A latest generation ultrasound scanner with several probes to optimise the image of animals of different sizes, including exotic animals.
In the hospital we have tissue Harmonic, essential for the diagnosis of specific alterations. It has high quality colour doppler and spectral doppler for flow measurements. Thanks to its technology, data can be retrieved for further processing.
For echocardiography we have high quality two-dimensional imaging for the diagnosis of certain cardiac pathologies. We have colour doppler, pulsed and continuous spectral doppler, as well as special probes for the diagnosis of congenital cardiac pathologies, abdominal pathologies or musculoskeletal diseases in animals of different sizes, including exotic animals.
