Luís se graduó en Veterinaria por la Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona (UAB) en 2011.
Realizó una estada de 4 meses y un internado de 1 año de Oncología y ensayos clínicos en Ohio State University (USA) dentro el periodo comprendido entre el 2011 y el 2013.
Antes de mudarse a los Estados Unidos, realizó un internado rotacional en el hospital Veterinario de la Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona (UAB).
Se unió al equipo de Ars Veterinaria en 2014 donde inicio su residencia en Medicina Interna (ECVIM) y la termino el pasado 2017. Desde marzo de 2018 es Diplomado en Medicina Interna ECVIM-CA y forma parte del departamento de Medicina y Oncología.
Desde 2020 es corresponsable del departamento de Medicina interna y Oncología.
Ha publicado numerosos artículos en revistes nacionales e Internacionales y ha sido ponente en conferencias en España, Portugal y los Estados Unidos.

- Estudio de la relación entre la hemólisis y la Leucemia Felina Virina.
- Estudio de la prevalencia de las diferentes enfermedades que causan linfadenopatía en perros.
- La relación entre la inmunosupresión secundaria a quimioterapia y enfermedades infecciosas transmitidas por vectores.
- La relación entre estomatitis y leishmaniosis felina
